“Lovely place”

Wonderful B&B for a short break. Chilham is exceedingly pretty, and perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The Castle Cottage is conveniently located, with very comfortable rooms and great views of the beautiful countryside. Breakfast was excellent too, and the room was cosy and warm even in snowy December temperatures. Highly recommended!

“A wonderful place”

A magic cottage in a wonderful garden setting with great views over nicely wooded rolling hills. Run by a friendly lady who provides quite exceptional breakfasts of home made, and often home grown, products. Our room was roomy, modern and clean, with a very comfortable bed. The village of Chilham is very pretty, and includes a lovely old church. There are pubs that provide good meals at reasonable prices in the village or within a short drive.

“All B&Bs Should Be Like This One”

Date of review: 25 Jul 2008

This is a great little B&B which encapsulates the spirit of what B&Bs should be: a welcoming host, clean and comfortable rooms with en suite facilities and an excellent cooked breakfast. On top of all this you get a chocolate-box pretty house with a terrific English garden set in one of England's prettiest villages, but to cap it all, it's set within the grounds of a magnificent country house. This is a great base from which to explore the south-east of England, but you do need a car as public transport is sparse and at least one local taxi driver have been known to cheat foreigners. Highly recommended.
